A leading global manufacturer of advanced electronic components is hiring a Director of Engineering to help lead a brand-new facility in Erie, PA. Director of Engineering Qualifications:
- per ITAR compliance, must be US Citizen
- 10+ years of engineering leadership experience, ideally in micro electronics manufacturing, with a focus on OCXO technology
- Proven ability to manage CAPEX investments, optimize operations, and drive cost and quality improvements
- Expertise in IP management and fostering innovation while safeguarding intellectual property
- Experience aligning engineering efforts with long-term business goals, ensuring strategic direction and execution
- Leadership experience managing 7+ Full-Time Engineers, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent
- Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L management, budgeting, and data-driven decision-making
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, or Theory of Constraints methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred)
Director of Engineering Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture that encourages growth and high performance
- Drive development of key technologies, such as OCXO, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic vision
- Oversee CAPEX investments to ensure effective resource allocation, supporting critical manufacturing and product development initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate product development, enhance manufacturing processes, and meet customer needs
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture where every individual feels empowered to contribute, grow, and succeed Director
