We are seeking a TechComm Associate to join a nationally recognized Technology, Communications, and Media practice in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have an interest in communications, telecommunications, media, broadband, wireless, satellite, or technology-related regulatory matters and possess strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Experience with FCC proceedings, administrative law, litigation, or regulatory compliance is highly valued.

TechComm Associate Responsibilities

• Research and draft FCC pleadings, comments, petitions, and related regulatory filings
• Draft court motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation-related pleadings
• Prepare for depositions and assist with managing the discovery process
• Advise clients regarding regulatory compliance and communications law matters
• Develop strategies to help clients achieve regulatory, legislative, and business objectives
• Assist with due diligence efforts related to corporate and transactional matters
• Monitor regulatory developments and analyze their impact on client operations
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to support complex client matters
• Maintain effective communication with clients, government agencies, opposing counsel, and internal teams

TechComm Associate Requirements

• JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admission or eligibility for admission in the District of Columbia
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Experience or demonstrated interest in telecommunications, communications, media, technology, regulatory, administrative, or appellate law
• Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Professionalism in working with clients, colleagues, and government agencies
