We are seeking a highly hands-on, production-floor–oriented Manufacturing Equipment Engineer – ePTFE / Extrusion Machinery to join our expanding advanced manufacturing operation. This role is not a desk-based engineering position. It is a true machine ownership role. You will serve as the primary technical authority for our ePTFE extrusion and thermal processing lines, with deep responsibility for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, thermal, and motion control systems. You will independently diagnose, repair, optimize, and improve production equipment in real time.

The ideal candidate understands every component of a production line, from material input through extrusion, stretching, sintering, calendaring, and winding, and takes full accountability for uptime, reliability, documentation accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Manufacturing Equipment Engineer Qualifications

  • 5+ years in manufacturing equipment engineering or maintenance engineering within a production environment
  • Demonstrated ownership of extrusion-based manufacturing lines
  • Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Deep working knowledge of extrusion systems (paste or ram extrusion preferred), sintering ovens, stretching systems, web or tube handling systems, winding and slitting equipment, hydraulic systems, pressure controls
  • Ability to read and modify electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and layout drawings
  • Strong root cause problem-solving skills (A3, 8D, DMAIC, FMEA)
  • Experience in ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and/or 21 CFR 820 environments
  • Participation in IQ/OQ/PQ validation protocols
  • BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related technical field
