Litigation Attorney – Property Damage

Litigation Attorney Requirements & Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active member of the Texas Bar, in good standing.
2+ years of litigation experience; first-party property experience strongly preferred.
Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong negotiation and client advocacy skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and team-focused.

Litigation Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of first-party homeowner property insurance claims from start to finish.
Conduct detailed legal research and case analysis.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
Take and defend depositions of insureds, adjusters, experts, and corporate representatives.
Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations or arbitrations.
Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials and hearings.
Communicate consistently with clients, providing clear updates and strategy explanations.
Collaborate with paralegals, assistants, and fellow attorneys to ensure top-quality representation.
Stay informed of evolving Texas insurance law and property damage trends.
