Trial Attorney – Personal Injury Requirements & Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Active Florida Bar membership in good standing.
- Minimum 6 years of personal injury litigation experience.
- Demonstrated courtroom experience, including motion practice.
- Experience as first chair in multiple jury trials strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Florida civil procedure and evidence.
- Ability to independently manage a litigation docket.
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and case evaluation skills.
Trial Attorney – Personal Injury Preferred Background & Skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Trial Attorney – Personal Injury Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Take ownership of cases post-filing, guiding them through all phases of litigation and trial.
- Develop litigation strategies, assess risk and case value.
- Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Draft and argue substantive motions, including dispositive and evidentiary matters.
- Oversee written discovery and ensure thorough evidentiary development.
- Prepare cases for mediation and trial, maximizing outcomes.
- Serve as first chair at trial when required.
- Negotiate with carriers and opposing counsel to achieve client goals.
- Maintain clear, strategic communication with clients throughout litigation.
- Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to efficiently manage deadlines and court requirements.
