Our client is seeking a Product Design Engineer for our CPG client in the Cranston-Warwick area. This is an exceptional opportunity to work for a stable company that has a diverse product line and customer base, supporting retailers in the Mass, Home Improvement, Dollar and Hardware channels.

Job Description

The Product Design Engineer is a key cog in both the new and existing product development and improvement efforts of the company.

Product Design Engineer Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product Engineering, Marketing, Sales and Manufacturing
Design products and packaging with customer, quality, performance, retail space, manufacturability and cost in mind
Create and release product and packaging specifications and updates
Identify cost reduction opportunities

Product Design Engineer Qualifications

Proficient in Solidworks
Proficient in SAP or equivalent ERP systems
2+ years Product and Packaging Design and Specification experience in consumer goods
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, metals and plastics
BS in Engineering or related discipline
