Grinder Requirements & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred (related work experience also considered)
Basic math skills required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods
Willingness to undergo physical work, including frequent reaching, kneeling, and handling of tools
Overhead crane experience preferred; training available

Grinder Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Operate grinders, sanders, and related equipment to deburr and finish metal parts to specification
Receive and follow work instructions and priorities from supervisors
Inspect and verify quality and quantity of parts produced, ensuring adherence to standards
Perform minor and routine equipment maintenance; notify supervision for additional needs
Safely use hand torches and participate in inspection programs as required
Move and handle materials using cranes, forklifts, or other equipment following safety regulations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
