Operations Supervisor

Location: McDonald, PA

Schedule: 1st Shift | Full Time

An established chemical manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead production and warehouse operations at its McDonald, PA facility. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing while leading and developing a team of operators and support staff.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on operations professional who enjoys leading teams, improving processes, and driving operational excellence in a manufacturing environment.


What You'll Do

  • Lead and supervise daily plant and warehouse operations to meet production and shipping schedules
  • Manage and support a team of operators and production staff (2–12 direct reports)
  • Ensure all operations meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards
  • Coordinate with maintenance to support preventative maintenance programs and reduce downtime
  • Oversee production and packaging activities to ensure products meet company and customer specifications
  • Conduct routine inspections to maintain a safe and organized facility
  • Monitor inventory and assist with inventory counts
  • Receive raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products into the warehouse
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure production timelines and customer delivery schedules are met
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, quality, and cost control
  • Support operational projects and process improvements as needed

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or operations
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong ability to lead teams and foster a culture of safety and accountability
  • Experience managing production schedules, workflow, and operational performance
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the chemical manufacturing or process industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
  • Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with quality control processes or ERP systems
  • Experience supporting capital projects or operational improvements

Work Environment

This role works in both industrial and office settings and requires regular interaction with plant operations, warehouse activities, and cross-functional teams.

Occasional flexibility may be required to support operations when needed.
