Assistant Controller Responsibilities:

Assist the Controller with preparation and review of monthly financial statements, journal entries, and management reports
Oversee reconciliations, cash flow analysis, fixed assets, prepaid accounts, and bank activity
Support month-end close, budgeting processes, and financial analysis projects
Review work completed by accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls, and regulated gaming requirements
Supervise daily accounting workflows and provide backup coverage for key Controller functions
Prepare and present financial reports and recommendations to management

Assistant Controller Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including regulated or gaming-related operations
Strong working knowledge of GAAP, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Proven experience leading, mentoring, or supervising accounting staff
Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft-based financial tools
Ability to obtain and maintain all required work authorizations and regulatory licenses
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
