🌺 Lead the Future of Retail in Hawai‘i – Director of General Merchandise
Locally owned grocery retailer, is seeking a visionary retail leader to shape and elevate our general merchandise offerings. From seasonal favorites to everyday essentials, you’ll set the strategy, inspire teams, and create an exceptional shopping experience that reflects the heart of our islands. Relocation to Honolulu.
What You’ll Do:
- Define and execute our merchandise strategy in tune with Hawai‘i’s unique culture and customer needs.
- Drive category growth through innovation, local insight, and data-driven decision-making.
- Build strong vendor partnerships and secure the best products at the best prices.
- Lead and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence and world-class service.
- Travel across the islands working with the grocery team.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5+ years of leadership in retail merchandising or general merchandise (multi-unit or corporate-level).
- Proven track record in growing sales, profitability, and customer engagement.
- Strong understanding of Hawai‘i’s marketplace and customer expectations.
- Expertise in category management, vendor negotiation, and inventory control.
- Collaborative, inspiring leadership style with excellent communication skills.
