The Water Treatment Plant Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance operations, manage staff, and ensure the safe and efficient functioning of water treatment facilities. This role requires both hands-on technical expertise and strong leadership to maintain equipment, supervise personnel, and comply with safety and regulatory standards.

Water Treatment Plant Maintenance Supervisor Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Supervise maintenance staff, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Conduct inspections and assessments to identify necessary repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and instrumentation systems.
• Assist with manual maintenance work related to plant operations, pumping stations, and storage tanks.
• Manage maintenance budgets, including forecasting costs and coordinating with contractors.
• Provide 24-hour on-call emergency response for maintenance needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, EPD standards, and departmental policies.
• Maintain accurate records and review equipment history files.
• Foster communication between production and maintenance teams.

Water Treatment Plant Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications preferred).
• Valid State of Georgia Driver’s License required.
• Several years of maintenance operations experience, with proven leadership in supervising teams.
• Knowledge of water treatment, distribution, and facility maintenance procedures.
• Strong understanding of mechanical trade practices, tools, and safety regulations.
• Ability to perform both supervisory and hands-on maintenance duties.
• Must successfully pass background check, drug screen, and physical exam.
