Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Oversight

  • Lead the development of financial models, operating forecasts, and long-range plans
  • Review performance metrics and provide data-driven insights to optimize revenue, control costs, and improve margins
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting, bank relationships, and tax planning
  • Deliver clear financial updates to leadership, including key risks and actionable opportunities

Financial Reporting & Controls

  • Own the preparation of financial statements and reporting packages—monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies, managing all audits and reconciliations
  • Maintain timely and accurate reporting of P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis
  • Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including monthly close activities

Operational Finance Execution

  • Manage vendor payments, credit card transactions, and banking activity
  • Oversee journal entries and approvals, while ensuring all transactions are accurately coded
  • Support departmental leaders with budget development and spend oversight
  • Administer depreciation schedules, asset tracking, and month-end inventory reporting

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Drive enhancements in financial processes, reporting systems, and cross-departmental workflows
  • Implement best-in-class tools and practices to scale with the business
  • Champion accuracy, efficiency, and strong internal controls

Vendor & Inventory Oversight

  • Manage the procurement workflow through ApprovalMax and monitor inventory receiving
  • Address vendor issues promptly, escalating as needed for resolution
  • Oversee company fuel cards, credit card use, and related month-end reporting

Risk & Compliance

  • Proactively identify financial and operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax requirements and internal audits
  • Prepare filings including fuel sales tax and support compliance-related documentation

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required
  • Experience: 4–6 years in a financial management, controller, or analyst role
  • Technical Skills:
    • NetSuite expertise required
    • Familiarity with Fyle and ApprovalMax preferred
    • Strong Excel skills and general tech fluency across financial platforms
  • Other Strengths:

    • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
    • Confident communicator with a collaborative mindset
    • Comfortable in a dynamic, high-accountability environment
