Job Title: Controller
Overview:
Responsible for managing all accounting activities and financial reporting for the Development department and related projects. Works closely with the CFO and Group Controller to support financial planning and long-term goals. Attends regular leadership meetings and leads the development accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the development accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance reviews.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for all development entities.
- Track and report project financials including budgets, costs, and forecasts.
- Manage cash flow and prepare cash flow projections.
- Oversee timely and accurate processing of accounts payable.
- Prepare bank draws and support audits and tax filings.
- Identify and implement process improvements in accounting operations.
- Stay updated on accounting standards and best practices.
- Support preparation of annual budgets and financial presentations.
- Handle other tasks or projects assigned by the Group Controller.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required), CPA in Florida (required)
- Experience: 10+ years in accounting, with at least 5 years in construction
