A rapidly growing company in the specialty flooring and concrete coatings industry is seeking a Business Development Estimator to lead commercial estimating and support business expansion. This remote role is ideal for a construction professional with 5+ years of experience in estimating — especially in flooring, epoxy, or concrete polishing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate estimates for commercial flooring and coating projects
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to define scope and pricing
- Leverage tools like PlanHub, BuildingConnected, and ConstructConnect
- Evaluate bid opportunities and submit competitive proposals
- Manage RFIs, change orders, and scope modifications
- Contribute to business development by building relationships with new commercial clients
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating (flooring/coatings preferred)
- Proficient in estimating platforms and bid management tools
- Strong knowledge of contracts, job costing, and change order processes
- Business development mindset with excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently in a remote setting
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $70,000–$150,000
- Commission & Bonus: Based on project wins and revenue performance
- Growth Potential: High, with opportunities to scale as the company expands
