General Manager

General Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years as a General Manager in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
  • Proven ownership of P&L performance, including COGS, labor, and controllables
  • Experience managing complex operations with entertainment, bar, and late-night service
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

General Manager Must Haves

  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to command a loud, high-energy room
  • Direct oversight of inventory systems, vendor relationships, and cost controls
  • Daily management of labor deployment, scheduling, and floor execution
  • Strong presence during peak service, events, and live-music programming

General Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • Background in nightlife-driven, entertainment-forward, or experiential dining concepts
  • Strong bar and beverage knowledge with cocktail-heavy volume experience
  • Track record of developing managers and building accountable leadership teams
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to balance culture, performance, and discipline
