Restaurant Events & Group Dining

A successful, multi-location restaurant group is seeking a Sales Manager to oversee group dining, private events, and special event sales across several high-performing restaurants in the Houston area. This role is well-suited for a hospitality-focused sales professional who enjoys relationship building, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands how to translate great food and service into revenue-driving experiences.

This position partners closely with restaurant leadership and operations teams to ensure events are thoughtfully sold, well-communicated, and flawlessly executed.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Proactively generate new event and group dining business through outreach, networking, and relationship development
  • Cultivate and manage an active local client base, including corporate groups, planners, hotels, and concierge contacts
  • Represent multiple restaurant locations when booking private dining and special events
  • Respond promptly to inbound inquiries via phone, email, and online channels
  • Prepare customized proposals, pricing details, and agreements aligned with restaurant capabilities
  • Negotiate within established parameters to balance guest expectations and business goals
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding menus, timelines, guarantees, deposits, and payment terms
  • Partner with restaurant management and culinary teams to ensure events are properly planned and executed
  • Stay connected to events during and after execution to confirm satisfaction and address feedback
  • Follow up post-event with guests to encourage repeat business and long-term relationships
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline tracking, and reporting using event management software
  • Participate in local industry events and networking opportunities to maintain market visibility

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 2 years of experience in restaurant sales, private dining, or hospitality-focused event sales
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations and food & beverage service
  • Experience managing multiple events and clients simultaneously
  • Comfortable negotiating pricing and closing business within defined guidelines
  • Familiarity with event sales platforms (such as Tripleseat or similar systems) preferred
  • Working knowledge of reservation and CRM tools preferred
  • Highly organized, responsive, and detail-oriented
  • Confident communicator with a relationship-driven approach to sales
