Restaurant General Manager Requirements and Qualifications

5+ years of full-service restaurant management experience, including General Manager leadership
Proven ability to oversee FOH and BOH operations with a focus on execution and guest satisfaction
Strong background in labor management, scheduling, cost control, and P&L oversight
Experience hiring, training, coaching, and retaining high-performing teams
Hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead from the floor during peak service periods
Strong communication and decision-making skills

Restaurant General Manager Preferred Background and Skills

Experience in high-volume, casual or polished-casual dining concepts
Track record of improving operational consistency and team accountability
Strong local presence and ability to build guest loyalty and repeat business
New Restaurant Opening experience preferred
