Join our team as the Director of Manufacturing Engineering and lead all manufacturing engineering functions across a multi site precision machining organization. This is a high impact leadership role responsible for shaping machining strategy, driving manufacturability excellence, and building scalable engineering processes that support quality, throughput, and long term growth.

This role is ideal for a proven manufacturing engineering leader with deep CNC machining expertise who wants ownership, influence, and the opportunity to build disciplined engineering systems in a private equity backed advanced manufacturing environment.

Director of Manufacturing Engineering | What You Will Do

  • Lead the manufacturing engineering function across multiple machining facilities
  • Own machining process development including tooling, fixturing, sequencing, and cycle time optimization
  • Oversee BOM and routing governance and ensure ERP accuracy and consistency across sites
  • Drive new product introduction including feasibility reviews, manufacturability planning, and process definition
  • Develop and deploy standard engineering methods, documentation, and programming approaches
  • Partner with quality on FAIRs, PPAPs, corrective actions, and process stability initiatives
  • Lead automation, technology deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and develop a high performing manufacturing engineering team
  • Collaborate cross functionally with operations, quality, supply chain, and customer engineering teams

Director of Manufacturing Engineering | What You Bring

  • Ten plus years of manufacturing engineering experience in precision machining or advanced manufacturing
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or related field
  • Deep hands on knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, fixturing, and multi axis operations
  • Strong experience with BOMs, routings, GD and T interpretation, and manufacturability planning
  • Proven leadership experience building and managing engineering teams
  • ERP experience with demonstrated ability to standardize engineering data and workflows
  • Experience with CAD and CAM platforms such as Mastercam, NX, or SolidWorks
  • Strong continuous improvement mindset using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Clear communication skills and ability to influence across departments
