Non-Ferrous Plant Manager
The Non-Ferrous Plant Manager leads daily production and separation operations in a non-ferrous recycling facility, driving throughput, yield, quality, and safety while developing plant teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily non-ferrous production and separation operations from inbound material through finished product
- Drive throughput, yield, quality, and downtime reduction across processing lines
- Oversee separation systems including wire chopping/granulation and material classification
- Lead, train, and manage production supervisors and plant personnel
- Partner with maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and preventive maintenance execution
- Enforce safety, environmental, and compliance standards
- Monitor recovery rates, inventory, and material losses; implement efficiency improvements
- Coordinate with logistics and commercial teams to meet shipment requirements
- Report production performance and key metrics to leadership
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in non-ferrous recycling, metals processing, or separation plant operations
- Leadership experience in a production, plant, or processing management role
- Strong knowledge of non-ferrous materials including copper, aluminum, and insulated wire
- Experience managing separation and recovery equipment
- Ability to lead teams in a high-volume industrial environment
- Solid understanding of plant safety, equipment operations, and maintenance coordination
