Retail Store Manager Requirements & Qualifications

Previous experience managing retail or warehouse operations.
Proven leadership abilities overseeing multi-function teams.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to handle scheduling, HR functions, and performance management.
Familiarity with inventory control and merchandising processes.

Retail Store Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Lead all in-store activities, supervising sales, service, stocking, and administrative staff.
Deliver and uphold exceptional customer care with a focus on in-person and inbound sales.
Maintain high standards for store cleanliness, safety, and security for customers and employees.
Manage inventory presentation, merchandising, stocking, and daily cycle counts.
Direct administrative HR functions, including scheduling, hiring, policy training, and reporting.
Support inside sales, assist with pricing negotiations, and close deals both on the floor and by phone.
Oversee parts sales counter, assist with quoting, and help coordinate delivery and installation services.
