General Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a General Manager
  • Deep expertise in hospitality and operations within the luxury food and beverage industry
  • Proven leadership and managerial skills
  • Strong background in cost accounting, developing budgets, financial planning, and strategic decision-making
  • Focus on team development, positive culture, and implementation of effective systems and SOPs
  • Sommelier certification is a plus

General Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience with French service techniques and luxury restaurant environments
  • Exceptional communication and customer focus
  • Track record in process improvement and quality standards

General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations and nightly service to ensure exceptional guest experiences
  • Maintain Michelin star service standards by training and developing staff in fine dining techniques and culture
  • Develop and implement policies, SOPs, and productive service standards, continually seeking opportunities to improve quality
  • Monitor and enhance guest and employee satisfaction through ongoing evaluation of food, beverage, and service offerings
  • Build and nurture relationships with valued patrons and regular guests
  • Collaborate with the leadership team on financial planning, cost control measures, and business strategies
