Our client is a general contractor that is looking to fill a Construction Superintendent position in the Blacksburg, VA area.

Superintendent Primary Responsibilities:

Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force
Review and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with Project Manager
Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner and Architect/Engineer
Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules
Communicate and enforce Safety and Health Management Program

Superintendent Must Have Skills:

5+ years of construction experience as a superintendent
Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and with terms and conditions of Project Contracts, Subcontracts, and Purchase Orders
Must have experience with complex commercial projects including higher education or buildings with laboratories ($25M – 100M in scope)
Exhibits strong leadership qualities
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Superintendent Compensation Highlights:

$100K – $120K annually
Excellent Insurance Package
