Our client is a general contractor that is looking to fill a Construction Superintendent position in the Blacksburg, VA area.

Superintendent Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force
  • Review and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with Project Manager
  • Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner and Architect/Engineer
  • Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules
  • Communicate and enforce Safety and Health Management Program 

Superintendent Must Have Skills: 

  • 5+ years of construction experience as a superintendent
  • Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and with terms and conditions of Project Contracts, Subcontracts, and Purchase Orders
  • Must have experience with complex commercial projects including higher education or buildings with laboratories ($25M – 100M in scope)
  • Exhibits strong leadership qualities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Superintendent Compensation Highlights:

 

  • $100K – $120K annually
