Some Responsibilities for our Special Education Teacher:

• Guide and support staff in understanding and implementing special education policies while coordinating key services, including caseloads, schedules, transportation, and state assessments.
• Serve as the Local Education Agency (LEA) Representative on all IEP Teams, ensuring each student’s needs and goals are fully represented.
• Maintain continuous improvement of IEP policies, uphold accurate student records, track transitions, and ensure full compliance with all DPI requirements and timelines.
• Provide the tools, training, and support that enable teachers and staff to implement IEPs with fidelity and care, aligned with IDEA principles.
• Teach core subjects with a focus on English and Social Science, supporting both academic growth and individualized learning needs.

Qualifications for our Special Education Teacher:

• Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred) with a valid Special Education Certification.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in developing and implementing IEPs that support each student’s unique potential.
• Background in English and Social Science is strongly preferred for instructional versatility.
• Must hold a valid Driver’s License and meet insurance eligibility requirements.
• Must pass all background checks for a Community Care Licensed facility, including physical, TB test, and drug screening.
