An independently owned, ultra-luxury resort destination known for its world-class outdoor adventures and Forbes-level service is seeking an energetic and seasoned Activities Manager. This leader will be responsible for shaping year-round guest experiences across a diverse recreation portfolio, set on thousands of acres of trails, lakes, forests, and adventure terrain.

Activities Manager – Requirements & Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience managing outdoor recreation, activities, or adventure programming in a luxury resort or high-end hospitality environment
- Experience overseeing diverse, multi-season activity portfolios (e.g., skiing, fly fishing, golf, hiking, ropes courses, shooting sports, off-road adventures)
- Proven leadership experience with teams of guides, instructors, and coordinators
- Strong operational management background, including scheduling, budgeting, staffing, and safety compliance
- Knowledge of outdoor recreation safety standards, equipment requirements, and regulatory compliance
- CPR/First Aid required; outdoor instructor/specialty certifications preferred (e.g., PSIA, Orvis, AMGA, NRA/USCCA, lifeguard, ropes certifications)
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods
- Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain activity-specific certifications
Activities Manager – Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in luxury, Forbes-rated, or high-touch hospitality environments
- Background in mountain resorts, wilderness lodges, premium recreation facilities, or large private estates with structured outdoor programs
- Prior leadership of multi-site or large-acreage activity operations
- Strong guest-recovery ability and luxury-service communication skills
- Passion for the outdoors with hands-on experience in activities such as fly fishing, alpine or Nordic sports, golf operations, trail programs, wildlife education, or water recreation
- Familiarity with large-scale events, seasonal festivals, and family programming
- Ability to bring creativity, enthusiasm, and an elevated service mindset to all guest experiences
Activities Manager – Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead year-round programming across skiing, golf, fishing, hiking, wildlife encounters, ropes courses, equestrian programs, off-road adventures, and seasonal festivals
- Maintain readiness, safety, and appearance standards for all equipment, activity spaces, and adventure zones spread across the resort’s multi-acre footprint
- Collaborate daily with concierge, guest services, golf, spa, F&B, lodging, conference services, and special events teams to support seamless guest experiences
- Drive innovation by continuously designing new outdoor experiences, family adventures, VIP activations, and luxury-level recreation offerings
- Maintain a strong on-property presence to inspect activity sites, ensure service consistency, assist guests, and support team members
- Coordinate third-party adventure partners, outfitters, instructors, and vendors
- Monitor guest feedback, participation trends, and performance metrics to elevate programming and maximize engagement
