Transportation Logistics Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of transportation logistics, fleet management, or transportation operations experience (resort/hotel/luxury preferred)
  • Proven leadership experience managing transportation teams and multi-vehicle fleets
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle compliance, and safety standards
  • Experience developing or improving transportation programs, routing, and scheduling systems
  • Proficiency with logistics software, dispatch tools, and communication platforms
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to support VIP-level service
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities

Transportation Logistics Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience in a Forbes-rated or ultra-luxury resort/hotel environment
  • Background implementing or upgrading transportation technology solutions
  • Experience supporting large-scale events, weddings, and VIP logistics
  • Ability to work cross-departmentally with front office, security, guest services, and events teams to elevate the guest journey

Transportation Logistics Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize guest and employee transportation schedules, routing, and operating procedures
  • Oversee daily dispatch operations, ensuring seamless service for arrivals, departures, events, and high-profile guests
  • Manage fleet maintenance, inspections, cleanliness protocols, and vendor relationships to ensure safety and readiness
  • Build, train, and mentor a high-performing transportation team focused on luxury-level service standards
