Assistant General Manager Benefits & Compensation

Assistant General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of café, coffee shop, or food & beverage management experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team
- Warm, service-focused mindset with a passion for hospitality
- Financial and operational competence (scheduling, cost control, reporting)
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and organizational skills
Assistant General Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Genuine passion for high-quality food, beverages, and guest experience
Assistant General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day café operations and serve as Manager on Duty when needed
- Foster a positive, efficient, guest-focused team environment
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism
- Support recruiting, hiring, training, and ongoing staff development
- Manage staffing levels, schedules, and labor targets
- Maintain high standards for hospitality, service quality, and operational efficiency
- Assist in monitoring sales, COGS, labor, and expenses
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, profitability, and guest satisfaction
- Ensure FOH and BOH areas are clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards
- Collaborate on local marketing and promotions to enhance customer engagement and brand awareness
