Our client is expanding its U.S. footprint and building its West Coast office in Los Angeles. This is a rare opportunity to join a global environmental commodity trading firm at a high-growth stage, working directly with senior leadership while helping launch a new market.

In this role, you’ll build your own client portfolio, originate trades within renewable energy markets, and operate in a fast-paced, merit-based environment where performance directly drives earnings and advancement. Sales Broker Benefits and Compensation

  • Base salary: $60,000–$70,000
  • Uncapped bonus tied directly to personal P&L
  • Hands-on training directly from senior management
  • Opportunity to help build the Los Angeles office from launch phase

Sales Broker Requirements & Qualifications

  • Must be able to work on-site in Los Angeles (no remote/hybrid)
  • Minimum 6 months of B2B outbound sales, brokerage, trading, or cold-calling experience (internships accepted)
  • Full personal P&L ownership
  • Daily cold calling and outreach to new counterparties
  • Comfortable with high-volume outreach and hearing “no” frequently
  • Highly motivated by performance-based earnings rather than high base salary
  • Proactive, resilient, and energized by a fast-moving environment

Sales Broker Preferred Background & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • Any experience in renewable energy markets (RECs, LCFS, biofuels, utilities) is a strong plus
  • Exposure to Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) or REC trading across the WECC region and familiarity with CAISO markets is beneficial
  • Proven ability to build relationships quickly and communicate confidently with new contacts
  • Prior success in closing deals or generating revenue in brokerage, trading, or outbound-driven sales roles
  • Experience in fast-paced, meritocratic or entrepreneurial settings where initiative is rewarded
