Our client is a manufacturer of customized power equipment and are primed for aggressive expansion. We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager who is looking for a career growth opportunity. We seek candidates with Engineered To Order Switchgear manufacturing experience as well as successful implementations of Lean Manufacturing transformations. This is a hands-on position leading the efforts to implement changes and overhauls of their manufacturing facility.

Operations Manager-Switchgear Manufacturing Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field
7+ years of experience in Engineered to Order manufacturing; experience with electrical distribution products like switchboards, switchgear, circuit breakers highly preferred.
Familiarity with overseeing production of customized to order production including fabrication, paint, assembly, testing, and safety
Experience leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives and implementations, and plant turnaround experience.
High proficiency with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a plus
Metric driven to analyze and improve costs, service and quality metrics

Operations Manager-Switchgear Manufacturing Responsibilities:

Oversee plant operations across fabrication, assembly and testing to ensure all quality, productivity, safety, and delivery targets are consistently met or exceeded.
Owns the shipping, receiving, warehouse and production schedule
Identify, design, and implement lean manufacturing processes, testing methodologies, and supporting tools
Implement and produce quality metrics and reporting to all levels of management
Lead and mentor a team of supervisors, technicians and operators
Partner with Quality Assurance to reduce defects and enhance product reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment usage, minimize downtime and drive modernization efforts
Oversee and ensure operations comply with OSHA, NFPA and company safety policies
