This role involves shaping the data initiative roadmap, developing and refining reporting and analytics products, and ensuring the delivery of solutions that provide actionable insights. It combines an internal focus—supporting enterprise BI and analytics efforts—with an external focus—partnering with customers to enhance and expand our data offerings.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

– Develop and maintain the data and insights product roadmap, aligning with enterprise reporting requirements and customer-facing data strategies.  

– Articulate and promote a clear vision for data and insights initiatives, balancing immediate deliverables with long-term strategic goals.  

– Collaborate with BI, Data Engineering, Finance, Operations, and other teams to gather requirements for internal reporting, dashboards, and analytics.  

– Convert complex business needs into well-defined user stories and product specifications.  

– Ensure data products meet quality, accuracy, and usability standards prior to release.    

– Engage with customers to collect feedback on current reporting and analytics features, translating insights into product enhancements.  

– Partner with customer success and marketing teams to promote adoption of new data products and features.  

– Monitor customer satisfaction, usage, and business impact of external-facing data solutions.   

– Benchmark internal and external data and analytics capabilities against industry best practices and competitors.  

– Maintain a competitive product matrix to identify gaps and opportunities for differentiation.  

– Serve as a liaison across departments, ensuring alignment and clear communication on data initiatives.  

– Define and monitor KPIs and success metrics for both internal and external data products.  

– Regularly report on roadmap progress, adoption rates, and the impact of data products to leadership and stakeholders.  

REQUIREMENTS  

– 3–5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar role, preferably with a focus on data, analytics, or insights.  

– Experience with BI and analytics tools such as Sigma, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.  

– Background in customer-facing SaaS product management

– Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal teams (BI, Engineering, Finance, Operations) and external customers.  

– Strong knowledge of data concepts including reporting, KPIs, data modeling, governance, and analytics.  

– Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.  

– Experience in creating and managing product roadmaps, writing user stories, and prioritizing backlogs.  

– Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into business value and actionable insights.  

Preferred Qualifications

– Familiarity with modern data platforms like Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, etc.  

– Experience working within agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid).  

– Strong ability to balance competing priorities across internal and external demands.
