GENERAL DESCRIPTION

As Vice President, Information Technology, you will oversee all aspects of the company’s technology from cybersecurity and enterprise applications to AI and Point of Sale (POS) systems, however, your primary mission is to design, build, and optimize our clients website. The ideal candidate is a strategic business partner who understands how to leverage a modern tech stack to drive revenue, secure company assets, and future-proof operations through AI and automation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Digital Experience & Web Strategy (Primary Focus) – Develop and execute a long-term mobile-first technology roadmap for our client’s website, landing pages, and eCommerce platforms. Own the technology stack (CMS, Frontend Frameworks, Backend, Headless architecture, Hosting) ensuring maximum flexibility, speed, and security. Translate business, marketing, and sales goals into actionable, high-performance web solutions. Oversee UX/UI standards, API integrations and development lifecycle to ensure an intuitive, friction-free customer journey that is a competitive advantage for our clients and drives revenue growth. Drive a relentless focus on core web vitals, SEO, AEO, conversion rate optimization, A/B testing, uptime, load time, etc. Monitor website traffic, behavior, and analytics, providing actionable insights to senior leadership to drive revenue growth.

2. Cybersecurity & Risk Management – Embed advanced security protocols across the enterprise including intrusion detection; develop and implement disaster and emergency recovery plans to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical systems; ensure the company’s technological processes and services comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations.

3. POS, applications and tools – manage key relationship with POS vendor, Convergence; work with the Retail team to optimize and enhance the POS to drive revenue growth; ensure seamless integration between web and POS; and, manage contracts for all major software vendors and third-party platform partners.

4. AI Strategy & Automation – lead the research and deployment of AI/ML to enhance business productivity and customer experience; leverage existing and emerging technologies to attract customers, work with your peers to identify opportunities to automate manual processes and implement solutions.

5. Lead and develop teams – set and then execute IT vision and strategy, inspire and develop teams; stay current with industry trends and participate in key networking events.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field; Master’s degree in information technology or a technology-related discipline preferred

· 10+ years in technology, 5+ years in a leadership role (VP IT, Sr Director IT).

· Expert-level knowledge of website development, e-commerce, and digital experience.

· Deep understanding/expertise of modern web stacks (e.g. React, Node.js, PHP/Laravel), CMS

platforms (e.g. WordPress, Headless CMS solutions), CRO tools (e.g. Optimizely, Hotjar) and web analytics (e.g. GA4).

· Proven experience managing cybersecurity, POS systems, enterprise ERPs, and AI/ML initiatives

· Experience with technology relative to industry; Cloud Infrastructure, Colocation Infrastructure

· Firm knowledge and understanding of modern development standards and best practices

· Key metric driven (conversion rate improvements, site performance scores, uptime across all

platforms, etc.,) and Agile/continuous process improvement mindset

· Able to be a “big picture” thinker and align multiple strategies and ideas

· Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with peers and senior management, specially VP Marketing.

· Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing IT teams (internal and external)

· Excellent analytical and time-management skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Confident in producing and presenting work

· In-depth understanding of the industry
