We are seeking an experienced 29” Full-Color Press Operator to set up, operate, and maintain a multi-color offset press. This role is critical in producing high-quality printed materials that meet or exceed client and production standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with 29” presses, a strong eye for color accuracy, and technical expertise in press maintenance and registration.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a 29” multi-color press for a variety of print jobs.
- Monitor and control color consistency, registration, and overall print quality throughout production.
- Perform routine press maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Review job tickets and specifications to confirm accuracy before production.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with prepress and finishing teams to meet production timelines.
- Track materials and supplies, communicating needs to the production supervisor.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating a 29” multi-color offset press.
- Strong knowledge of color control, ink/water balance, and registration.
- Understanding of UV inks and coatings (preferred).
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
