Restaurant Assistant Manager Requirements & Qualifications – prioritized for screening:

  • Must have managed volumes above $7 million
  • Strong leadership ability with proven success in coaching and training teams
  • Ability to manage and execute profit plans effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and business acumen
  • Commitment to maintaining and strengthening company culture and core values
  • Actively engaged and involved in the local community

Must Haves – day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations under the guidance of the General Manager
  • Supervise staff performance and scheduling, ensuring compliance and accountability
  • Train, coach, and develop staff to deliver consistent excellence
  • Monitor food preparation and enforce all health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and handle customer concerns with professionalism
  • Oversee compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations
  • Conduct inspections of restaurant and equipment; coordinate repairs and maintenance
  • Lead disciplinary or coaching meetings in a timely, constructive manner

Restaurant Assistant Manager Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills with a focus on people development
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Experience driving sales, managing cost of goods, and improving restaurant performance
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Ability to inspire, energize, and create a positive winning culture for the team
