Human Resources Generalist – Hospitality Focus

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of HR best practices and a passion for supporting people in a dynamic, hospitality-driven environment. This role plays a key part in fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting the daily operations of our HR department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new team members, ensuring a welcoming and efficient hiring experience.
  • Support employee relations by addressing concerns, maintaining documentation, and promoting a positive, inclusive workplace.
  • Manage HR administrative functions including personnel files, benefits coordination, and compliance reporting.
  • Partner with department leaders to reinforce company policies, performance standards, and engagement initiatives.
  • Process payroll changes, attendance records, and time-off requests accurately and confidentially.
  • Conduct and support training programs related to performance, compliance, and employee development.
  • Assist with investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and ensure company compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources, within the hospitality, food & beverage, or service industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR laws, benefits administration, and payroll processes.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
