A hospitality group in Columbia is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead the kitchen of a new European-inspired café and wine shop. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a concept from the ground up and build a kitchen culture that reflects creativity, quality, and community.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all back-of-house operations, including prep, service, hiring, training, and mentoring.
  • Develop menus that highlight seasonal ingredients, quality, and wine pairings.
  • Establish and maintain kitchen systems, processes, and standards for consistent execution.
  • Collaborate with ownership and front-of-house to create a welcoming and memorable guest experience.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in scratch kitchens—cafés, bistros, wine bars, or market-style dining.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a calm, positive approach.
  • Knowledge of food and labor cost management, vendor relationships, and inventory systems.
  • Experience opening a restaurant or building a kitchen culture from scratch is a plus.
