As the Restaurant General Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage a large and diverse team, and drive the operational success of the restaurant. You will be responsible for ensuring a seamless guest experience while achieving financial goals, maintaining staff motivation, and upholding the restaurant’s reputation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of 50+ staff members, including front-of-house and back-of-house employees. Create a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and personal growth.
  • Operations & Workflow: Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth service and efficient workflows. Maintain high standards for cleanliness, food quality, and guest satisfaction.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and manage operational budgets, including payroll, food cost, and inventory. Work with the senior leadership team to achieve sales targets and maintain profit margins.
  • Staffing & Training: Recruit, hire, train, and develop team members, ensuring they provide exceptional service and uphold company standards. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure that each guest enjoys a memorable dining experience. Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain: Manage inventory levels, place orders, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure consistent stock of necessary products while minimizing waste.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure the restaurant complies with health and safety regulations, as well as all local, state, and federal laws.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: At least 5 years of experience in restaurant management, with a minimum of 2 years as a General Manager in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing large teams in fast-paced settings.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing budgets, P&L, and achieving financial goals in a restaurant.
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both with guests and team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot operational issues quickly and effectively.
  • Passion for Hospitality: A deep passion for providing exceptional guest experiences and leading a team to success.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to adjust quickly to changing circumstances.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in NYC Restaurant Scene: Familiarity with the New York City restaurant market and the demands of managing a busy, high-profile venue.
  • Strong Tech Skills: Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management software, and other restaurant technologies.
  • High Sales Volume: Experience managing a restaurant of a minimum of $10 million in sales
