Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and coordinate production team activities to meet established schedules and quality standards.
· Interview, hire, train, coach, evaluate, and, when necessary, recommend termination of production employees in partnership with HR.
· Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company guidelines.
· Monitor workflow and adjust resources to meet production demands.
· Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to address production challenges.
· Maintain accurate production records and prepare daily/weekly reports.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
· Lead documentation of SOPs and capture tribal knowledge from IN facility staff.
· Ensure continuity of operations during facility transition with minimal disruption to customer deliveries.
Qualifications
· 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (3+ minimum required).
· Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of employee life cycle, including interviewing, hiring, and terminations.
· Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and production scheduling.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to travel regularly to Fort Wayne during the initial 90-day period (company-paid travel).
· Experience in safety-conscious and regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
· Experience leading teams through change, relocation, or new facility start-up strongly preferred.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
