We are seeking a hands-on Accounts Payable Manager with deep experience in retail environments to lead a growing AP department. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in high-volume, multi-entity operations and have a proven track record of optimizing AP processes, mentoring staff, and ensuring accuracy and compliance.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the Accounts Payable team, including supervisors, leads, specialists, and clerks across multiple entities.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all AP activities through internal controls and performance reporting.
• Drive automation and process improvements to scale operations and reduce costs.
• Implement workflow procedures and cross-train staff to maintain best practices.
• Set performance metrics and manage staff evaluations.
• Coordinate with operations and vendors to resolve issues and maintain strong working relationships.
• Oversee vendor statement reconciliations and prepare reporting for management and audits.
• Maintain up-to-date records for licenses, permits, property taxes, leases, and utilities.
• Manage outside AP service providers and ensure compliance with corporate policies.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of Accounts Payable experience in medium-to-large environments (1,500+ employees).
• 5+ years as an AP Manager or Supervisor, leading at least 6 team members.
• Experience in centralized AP operations, preferably at the corporate level.
• Multi-entity AP management (5+ entities required).
• Strong ERP experience and familiarity with high-volume transactional environments.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while delivering solutions in a fast-paced environment.
