We are seeking a General Manager for a Multi-Outlet Convention Center. This position will be based in the Detroit Metro area and will oversee multiple concessions outlets, events, meetings, and shows year-round. Our leaders are innovative, talent-driven, and manage offerings to clients by creating partnerships that result in a rewarding experience with a vision for the future, developing strategies that provide direct support to other leaders and teams while embodying our core values.

Convention Center General Manager Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of leadership in a stadium/convention center with a contract food service-related organization
• 10+ million dollars of revenue responsibility in F&B sales
• Previous experience working in union environments
• Success in leading teams of over 200 with direct oversight of department managers (20+)
• Must have both catering and concessions management experience
• Keen focus on relationships and the quality of the guest experience
• A forward thinker who can work independently and resolve issues
• A positive outgoing style of leadership to grow and develop teams and individuals
• Strong understanding of delivering exceptional results without compromising standards
• Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and adjusting to meet and exceed financial objectives
• Strong passion for food and knowledge of current trends
• A professional who can be creative and also can sustain and improve existing operations
• Strong written and communication skills at all levels
