Executive Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a Michelin-starred or high-end dining kitchen
  • Strong foundation in refined culinary techniques, including butchery and plating
  • Proven ability to support and lead a team in a fast-paced, detail-oriented kitchen
  • Experience managing inventory, ordering, and cost control
  • Understanding and adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Executive Sous Chef Preferred Background & Skills

  • Previous experience in a leadership or sous chef role within a fine dining or Michelin-starred environment
  • Creativity and input in seasonal menu development and dish innovation
  • Strong communication and mentoring skills to inspire kitchen staff
  • Ability to collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and management team to maintain consistency and excellence
