Our boutique hotel group is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Engineer I to join our team. This is an on-site, entry-level maintenance role responsible for preserving the appearance and functionality of our property, including daily upkeep of interior and exterior areas and assisting with hotel equipment repairs under the direction of the Chief Engineer. Maintenance Engineer 1 Benefits

Maintenance Engineer 1 Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 1–2 years of maintenance or engineering experience in hospitality preferred.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and basic electrical systems.
  • Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Maintenance Engineer 1 Job Responsibilities

  • Perform daily property inspections and light maintenance (trash pickup, hedge trimming, general repairs).
  • Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests through ticketing software.
  • Assist with plumbing, HVAC, electrical repairs, and general facility upkeep.
  • Maintain pool/hot tub (if certified), complete preventative room maintenance, and support minor renovations and painting.
  • Operate power tools and ensure a safe, clean work environment.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
