Luxury Hotel Director of Finance Job Duties

• Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements
• Partner with executive leadership to drive strategic financial planning
• Oversee accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and audits
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Manage capital expenditures and asset management
• Monitor and optimize hotel profitability and cost control measures
• Provide financial insights to support operational and commercial decisions
• Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with business objectives
• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare timely reports for ownership and stakeholders
• Lead and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
• Participate in executive committee meetings and contribute to overall hotel strategy

Luxury Hotel Director of Finance Job Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Director of Finance or equivalent in a luxury hotel/resort environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred
• Strong knowledge of hospitality financial systems and reporting standards
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in a multi-departmental setting
• Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., Excel, accounting platforms)
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage complex financial operations with precision and integrity
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence strategic outcomes
• Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards
