An Established Metal Fabrication Manufacturing firm is looking for a CMM Quality Inspector

Since its inception in 1964, the company is a leading provider of precision sheet metal fabrications, enclosures, weldments and assemblies.

The CMM Quality Inspector will primarily be performing FAIRs and other various inspections. In between so doing, you’ll also be supporting the team in ways only a seasoned, experienced inspector can. If we get a difficult and/or critical part to inspect, you’ll likely be tasked to inspect it. If we have edge cases or iffy maybe good, maybe bad type parts, you’ll be someone we’ll likely look at to make a call.

Responsibilities:

• Performing first article inspections and generating FAIRs
• Performing many other types of inspections, likely the more difficult ones that come through the shop
• Constantly be on the lookout for and identify sources of quality issues
• Support and/or develop junior inspectors where applicable
• As with all who work at the company, help your fellow departments when they get in trouble

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Must know MCOSMOS. QVPAK and MeasureLink strongly desired. Knowledge in CMM-Manager software a plus.
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering level drawings w. GD&T
• Ability to write and/or complete general work reports
• Proficient in basic computer skills & Microsoft Office
• Physical strength to repeatable lift and carry 25 lbs.
• At least 5 years of experience as an inspector using precision manual measuring devices such as calipers, height gages, thread gauges, protractors, micrometers, CMM, etc.
