Construction Inspector – Benefits and Compensation:

Construction Inspector – Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of construction experience
- Utility construction experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must pass drug screening and background check
- Demonstrates honesty, integrity, teamwork, and commitment
Must Haves:
- Inspect utility construction and installation projects for compliance with specifications and safety standards
- Attend pre-construction meetings and coordinate with contractors and field crews
- Review construction plans and conduct on-site evaluations for drainage and utility compliance
- Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as other departments
- Approve contractor pay requests and change orders based on field observations
- Complete administrative tasks including reporting, documentation, and data entry
- Be available for emergency and inclement weather-related work as needed
Construction Inspector – Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience in stormwater or water infrastructure inspection
- Familiarity with public utility codes, regulations, and construction standards
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with field and agency partners
