The Field Technician plays a critical role in delivering temporary resources to clients by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) systems. This hands-on position requires mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Field Technician Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain temporary natural gas delivery systems, including trailers, compressors, and related equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Load and unload CNG/LNG trailers safely and efficiently at customer sites.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Complete service documentation, inspection reports, and maintenance logs accurately and on time.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, engineering, and customer representatives.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours service needs as required.

Field Technician Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in mechanical or electrical systems preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service, mechanical maintenance, or energy systems.
  • Familiarity with natural gas systems, valves, regulators, and pressure vessels is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and safety procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in varying conditions, and travel frequently.

Field Technician Additional Requirements:

  • MUST live within ~50 miles of Houston, Texas
  • Class A CDL license preferred, but not required.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening as part of Federal guidelines.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a customer-focused attitude.

  • Competitive base salary, DOE (depending on experience)
