Financial Controller Responsibilities:
- Lead all accounting functions including AR/AP, payroll, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, tax filings, and month-end close in compliance with UK GAAP and US GAAP.
- Manage financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, group reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and preparation of annual financial statements.
- Partner with the COO to develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, board reports, and long-term financial plans.
- Oversee project accounting, ensuring accurate cost allocations, WIP calculations, and analysis of project profitability.
- Support growth of the U.S. entity by building, training, and mentoring a high-performing finance team, and driving continuous process improvement.
Financial Controller Qualifications:
- Degree or master’s in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Construction industry experience is required
- Proven experience building and leading finance teams
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
