Our client is a private equity-owned manufacturer of engineered to order equipment primed for aggressive expansion into new and existing markets. We are seeking a dynamic Accounting Manager to oversee a team involved in financial reporting, general ledger management, internal controls and compliance, financial analysis & budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance and process improvement initiatives. Reporting to the company's Controller, this person is expected to provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

• Oversee preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP including consolidation with subsidiary companies
• Supervise general ledger and approve account reconciliations
• Manage a team of accountants
• Implement effective internal controls to ensure accurate financial and tax reporting
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, manage actual results and explain variances
• Ensure financial reporting is in compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Lead initiatives to improve processes, systems and overall efficiencies
• Opportunity to build out the accounting team over time

Accounting Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• CPA or CMA a plus
• 5+ years of corporate accounting experience in a manufacturing company
• Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations and financial reporting practices
• 2+ years in a supervisory role
• Advanced proficiency with Excel
• Proficiency with accounting software
• Must be a Critical thinker in terms of business strategy and proven ability to provide actionable insights
• Experience building out budgets, reporting packages and models (within a PE owned firm a plus)
