As Banquet Event Manager, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of banquet service operations—from staff supervision to vendor coordination to day-of execution. You’ll work closely with the Director of Banquet Operations and cross-functional teams to ensure every event—whether social or corporate—is executed with professionalism, efficiency, and exceptional service.


Banquet Event Manager – What You’ll Do

  • Hire, train, supervise, and motivate banquet team members
  • Oversee event timelines, staffing, set-up, and guest experience
  • Coordinate directly with vendors and social clients to plan layouts, menus, and flow
  • Draft detailed BEOs and floorplans and present to department heads
  • Lead pre-event briefings and manage on-site execution
  • Conduct server training (new hires, retraining, TIPS certification)
  • Manage administrative tasks such as payroll, team files, and staff scheduling
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Banquet Event Manager – What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of food & beverage or restaurant experience, including 2 years in banquet/event service management
  • Strong working knowledge of banquet operations, food & beverage service, and event logistics
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, event software)
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain poise, and manage a large team
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to travel to other venues as needed
  • CPR/First Aid certification a plus

Banquet Event Manager- Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable standing, bending, and moving throughout event execution
  • Must maintain regular, punctual attendance
