Craft a Signature Omakase Experience on Long Island
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Executive Chef to lead the culinary direction of an intimate new Japanese restaurant specializing in omakase. This is an exceptional opportunity to craft a truly unique dining experience from the ground up.
Omakase Executive Chef Requirements & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional culinary experience, with at least 3 years as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine role
- Deep expertise in traditional Japanese techniques, including sushi, sashimi, kaiseki, fermentation, and dashi preparation
- Exceptional knife skills, keen ingredient sourcing instincts, and meticulous attention to detail
- Proven ability to build relationships with local farms, fishermen, and specialty Japanese purveyors
- Genuine passion for guest interaction, culinary storytelling, and artistry in cuisine
- Comfortable and confident working in an open kitchen and leading a small, dedicated team
- Valid U.S. work authorization
