Location: Buellton, CA
Shift: 2nd Shift | 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Pay: $22 – $26/hour (DOE) + Overtime Available
Our client, a well-established company with a strong legacy in precision tool fabrication, is seeking a skilled Surface Grinding Machine Operator to join their team on the 2nd shift. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a stable and growing manufacturing environment that values craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate surface grinding machines to produce precision parts to tight tolerances
- Perform machine setup, changeovers, and offsets as needed
- Interpret and work from engineering and shop drawings
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards
- Ensure quality and consistency throughout the machining process
Surface Grinding Machine Operator Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in machine operation or a similar manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
- Familiarity with precision measurement equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks: stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, bend, reach, and work in a shop environment with dust, solvents, and chemicals
Surface Grinding Machine Operator Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive pay based on experience ($22 – $26/hr)
