We’re looking for an experienced, energetic individual…One that’s passionate about flavor and incredible guest experiences to be our next long-term Sous Chef/Pitmaster. This venue is well-awarded, loved by many, and gets very busy. Located onsite in Manhattan, NYC.
Sous Chef/Pitmaster Responsibilities:
· Hands-on hybrid style of service that is heavy on guest-interaction. Large two-level space with regular nightly service, live bands, 2 full bars, patio dining, private events, an extensive catering program, and delivery.
· Report to and collaborate with Executive Chef to monitor historical data and forecast sales. Calibrate and check prep and cleanliness checklists, create kitchen schedules, Curate smoker and all other food production/ordering schedules, including pastry.
· Constant menu-wide tasting, testing, and educating.

Sous Chef/Pitmaster Requirements:
· 2-3 years as Sous Chef or in Kitchen leadership position, high-volume
· VERY interested in food, cooking- Especially smoke-cooking and Southern/Slow cooking.
· Managerial presence, has eye for detail.
· Leads with positivity, proactivity, teamwork, and supportiveness.
· Culinary training is preferred.
